High School Program

Parkview offers high school students independent study coursework with individualized flexible school schedules perfect for elite or approaching elite student athletes! 
 
USI students have access to:
  • Weekly live instruction via Zoom
  • On-campus support classes
  • Virtual check-ins with credentialed teachers
  • Additional academic support through tutoring appointments (virtually or in-person)
  • NCAA-approved courses for students pursuing athletics at the collegiate level
  • A-G approved courses for admission to any of the California State Universities
  • Advanced Placement (AP) courses that provide students the opportunity to take college level courses
  • Honors courses that are designed for students who can learn at an accelerated pace
  • Up to two *concurrent courses at our comprehensive high schools
  • Dual enrollment through community colleges
  • National Honors Society membership pending approved application
     
*Concurrent courses: students have the opportunity to take up to two courses at one of PYLUSD’s comprehensive high schools. 
High school students (grades 9-12) can learn virtually at home through instructor-led courses, online learning programs, or traditional textbook courses. Onsite classes in each content area are also provided for supplemental instruction. Students are provided with Chromebooks, assignments and deadlines for each month. Parents/tutors are provided lesson plans that outline grade-level standards, learning concepts and teaching resources. Students are assigned to a credentialed teacher for support and guidance in which they meet monthly to collect student work samples and to ensure adequate student learning.
